If you’re wondering what’s going on in the Sew. Happy. Quilt. QAL, go check out the Information page and the Flickr group – lots of inspiration in there!
So my friend Melissa of Sew BitterSweet Designs is preparing to celebrate Valentine’s Day in a big way – from 6 Feb to 14 Feb she’ll be featuring guest posts, tutorials and all kinds of good stuff. And I’m posting a tutorial for her on the 10th, so I’m excited! And you should be excited too: she’s going to host a Valentine’s Project Linky Party, and you can link up your Valentine’s projects AND get your friends to vote for you! The one with the most votes wins a sweet prize! I can’t tell you exactly what I’m making, but I can tell you it’s quilty, and it’s small. Hmmm. No prizes for guessing correctly. :p So get your reds and pinks out and start sewing!
And while we’re talking about sewing, I’d like to introduce you to this week’s features. They were the most popular links, and I think you’ll see why:
Danny at Mommy For Reals has a mini-tute on how to make this applique tree. And I am SO rubbish at drawing that I’m super jealous of the trunk of that tree. And the paisley shapes too. Isn’t it cool?
Dana at Water Penny linked up this tutorial for a Signature Wedding Quilt – doesn’t it look sweet?
Amanda at City Girl Gone Coastal linked up a sweet tutorial on using stamps as embroidery patterns! So clever!
I’ll see you Monday for another Manic Monday Linky Party! Have a great weekend!
P.S. Because I write a non-Blogger blog, I am one of those unfortunates who will lose my Google Friend Connect widget soon. I really value you as a reader and follower, and I’d like to ask you to consider following me on BlogLovin’, a free service built specifically for people to follow their favourite blogs, or by Feedburner, which is an RSS feed. Thanks!! 🙂

Thanks for the shout out! The party is now going from the 1st to the 14th! I had so much interest – so exciting! Wednesday there will be a post about the sponsors for the prizes of the linky party 🙂
Oh my goodness that tree is stupendous!
I love the tree! Thank you very much for sharing this :o)
Thanks for featuring me! I should have a PDF of the tree up on my blog some time this weekend so everyone can download my drawing and make their own!! The hubby said it’s possible, so I’m going to make him help me!
I love the tree – thanks for featuring the wedding signature quilt! PS – as soon as I get back from a trip I’m on, I’m going to start your quilt a long!
