Hello all! I’m off to physio later today; it’ll be my first time driving my car since the surgery and I’m very excited about it. I can’t believe I went all those years without a UK driving license. I think about 7 or 8 of the years I’ve lived here I’ve been dependent on buses and taxis. You know, when it takes an hour to get from your house to the town centre that’s only 3 miles away. Fun.
Manic Monday Linky Party is still open here.
Anyway, please go vote for your favourite PLAY pick-a-card mini quilt - the entries are fabulous and I’m so proud of the contestents’ creativity!
A while ago I took the plunge and bought myself a day pass for the Fat Quarterly London Retreat. I wasn’t sure if I’d be well enough to cope with travelling from Southampton into London and over to Knightsbridge. My plan is to leave early to avoid some of the Jubilee traffic, so I’ll be the crazy looking lady sitting around knitting from 9(ish) am on. So I’ll introduce myself a bit so you’ll know which lady is me.

So that’s me. I’m an American who’s lived in the UK for 10 years and I love it here. I started blogging around 2 years ago in order to promote my etsy shop, which is sadly mostly abandoned these days. Poor thing. I have one tween daughter, Savi, and a lovely, patient husband called Mike. He totally supports me in my knitting and sewing addictions.
I’ll be wearing this t-shirt:
And if things go well today, a finished version of this nametag:
Most people call me either Jenna or Jen. I’m only around on Saturday and in the AM I’ve got Frame Purses with Katy and in the PM I’ve got Paper Pieced Pillows with Lynne. I’ll be bringing some ugly fabrics along too, as well as my knitting.
I’m so freakin’ excited about meeting some of my blog pals in person – I can’t wait to see you guys!
I’m linking up at the FQ Blog as well.
P.S. Because the Google Overlords want to force the entire planet into using their crazy social application, my Google Friend Connect widget has been cancelled. But you can still get me in your Google Reader (or any other reader) by clicking on the Feedburner (RSS) link below.
