Sew Intertwined QAL: Dresden Fan Tutorial

Ok, it’s time for the first tutorial of the Sew Intertwined Quilt Along! I promise this isn’t very difficult, and if you participated in my last QAL you already know how to make it. But there are a few downloads, and I’ll explain them.

This is the tutorial for the whole Dresden Fan block – everyone needs this whether they’re joining their diamonds up, such as this:

Here’s the dresden blade and circle template, which everyone will need unless you have a dresden ruler, in which case you can just use that.

If you’re doing the corners to complete the diamond, here’s the template to paper piece that section:


Set your printer to Landscape, and double check the size is 10″ when it prints. You may have to get it to print at, say, 104% or so to get it just right. For some reason Cute PDF makes things a tiny bit smaller when it converts them into pdfs.
