Tutorial Tue: Sweet Baby Dreams Quilt
Welcome to Stashtacular! We’re on a fabric diet, and are gearing up to swap our old fabrics for new!

Please go sign up for this week’s giveaway of a $25 gift certificate for free fabric from 1Choice4Quilting over at Blue Bird Sews who is hosting this week’s Stashtacular celebrations!
And don’t forget, you need to be thinking about whether you’d like to join my new virtual quilting bee, Sew Bee Blissful. It’s ok if you’re a bee beginner; we’ll all be friendly and helpful, even if you’re a bit scared of quilting!

Manic Monday + Stashtacular! Tute and Giveaway!
Woohoo! It’s arrived, finally!

My friend Kelly from Blue Bird Sews publishes her tutorial on baby onesies today to kick off Stashtacular! And don’t forget to enter to win a $25 gift certificate to 1Choice4Quilting too! Yep, all for you! And tutorials to follow tomorrow AND Wednesday – you lucky thing, you!
If you’d like to leave your link, here are the rules:
- You can link anything you’ve created – an etsy shop, blog or tutorial, whatever.
- You can leave up to 2 links
- Please visit at least one other link and comment!
- I’ll be featuring a few on the blog on Feature Friday
- You are welcome to add my party button to your blog, but you don’t have to!
I’d also like to ask you a question. I’m thinking about hosting a quilting bee, Sew Bee Blissful. It would be for a year, so I’d need 10-11 totally dependable people to do it with me. Is anyone interested? I’d like to donate my month’s quilt to Linus Quilts, a UK charity which provides donated quilts to kids who’ve had bad injuries, but donation to charity isn’t mandatory. I just thought maybe others would like to help me make a charity quilt.
Someday I hope to do an international charity bee, but I need to do more research and make more contacts, I think.
Anyway, if you’d like more info, visit the Sew Bee Blissful Flickr page, or email me at jenna (at) sewhappygeek.co.uk
Now go get in on that 1Choice4Quilting giveaway!

Manic Monday Linky Party #20
Did you all have a good weekend? I guess most of you are still having a good weekend celebrating the 4th. Not surprisingly we don’t celebrate the 4th of July here in the UK, but I have had Americans ask me if we do. (What do they think it’s a celebration of?)
Saturday I was a steward at the Romsey Quilter’s Exhibition in the Abbey. Everyone was so nice and didn’t mind my stupid questions at all. On Sunday, Buzz, Savi and I went to the Hat Fair in Winchester and saw the jugglers and other performers. Buzz got to play with his diabolos a bit and juggle while I sewed hexies. I’m not too good at juggling so I tend to do more sedate things like shop and sew. But I did buy fudge! Does that count for anything?
I’d also like to remind you about Stashtacular!, which will be starting in only 1 week. I have a poop ton of fabric to swap, so any of you in the UK/EU, get on over to the Flickr page and start posting your fabric pics to swap. You can start posting them in to me whenever you want – and you can choose to post them internationally as we’ve got 2 swaps running simultaneously. Also up: PRIZES. 3 TUTORIALS PER WEEK. LOTS O’ FUN! My friends Stephanie from Spontaneous Threads and Kelly from Blue Bird Sews are my lovely co-hosts and let me tell you, these two have worked really hard! Go give them some bloggy love! If you have ANY questions or want to swap, email me at jenna (at) sewhappygeek.co.uk
