I designed the QAL Sampler quilt and I was quite pleased with it. I hoped it was balanced and covered difficulty and techniques from fairly simple to more challenging. Then I let it out into the world. I figured maybe 20 people would join. Seriously, I didn’t think many people would want to use up their fabric for my Sampler design.
I am nearly overwhelmed at the positive response I’ve gotten. There are nearly 100 people in the group right now! Holy cow! Some of these lovely ladies are breaking out precious, precious stashed fabric lines to do this QAL. Some of them are using up scraps and bits & bobs because they want to make it but don’t want to buy or can’t afford new fabric. For me, encountering such a positive response to something I created is simply amazing. I’m hoping to come up with more designs to share with you guys, and I’m really looking forward to doing this again!
