Feature Friday, and do you know any good knitting blogs?

Hi guys! Sorry about the sick week, but I’m guessing you didn’t really notice anyway, given that we’re all blog junkies here. I have a very hard time keeping up!

Although, having said that, I am fishing for good knitting blogs – if you know of any, please leave their name or address in the comments! I’ve only just started knitting, but I’m keen.

Well, on to the features:

My friend and bee mate Sarah over at FairyFace Designs finished this Skittles quilt top with Kate Spain Central Park fabric – isn’t it adorable?

Suzy from Suzy’s Artsy Craftsy Sitcom made this hilarious Brady Bunch cake for her sister – and there’s a tutorial if you want to make one too!

Karen from Sew Much 2 Luv made this sweet Margarita apron for the Hot Mama Apron Swap – which I totally missed πŸ™

And I had to mention this knitted baby blanket from Craftopotamus – I’m tempted to make an infinity scarf like it!

Thanks! If you’ve been featured and want a button, they’re up on the top left. See you guys Monday (and I might even have quilt pics from the Festival of Quilts. If. You’re. Lucky.)

  1. Thanks so much for the feature, Jenna!! I’m always thrilled when I show up on your awesome blog!

As for knitting blogs- well Ravelry.com is one of my favorites. Lots of free patterns and lots of folks to knit along with.

  2. In a bit of shameless self-promotion, I will recommend my own blog! It has been quite stitchy recently, but it is sometimes quite knitty as well, and I have some patterns and tutorials in my archives. The other lovely one is the Skein Queen blog – she is an indie dyer who produces the most wonderful yarn. And I would endorse the Ravelry recommendation above – I am Pomonaknits on Ravelry and you can also see my knitting related blog posts listed there. If you join Ravelry you need never buy a pattern again, there are so many wonderful free ones available!

  3. Thanks so much for featuring my baby blanket and I think it WOULD make a gorgeous scarf! Let me know if I can help. Any my favorite knitting blog is Zibeline Knits. Keya is one of the nicest people in blogland and she has some beautiful patterns and amazing hand-painted yarn. Check her out here… http://zibelineknits.blogspot.com/

  4. Not just knitting but Vanessa at doyoumindifiknit.typepad.com
she’s great fun and a very talented artist too!

  5. It seems like you are feeling better and that’s what matters! I got my jelly roll on Wednesday! It’s so pretty, now I just need to figure out what to do with it πŸ™‚ I’ve never had one before. I’m waiting on a book from the library, maybe that will help me!
