Table Runner Swap Pics & Happy Thanksgiving

Hi all, and for those Americans out there, Happy Thanksgiving! We plan to cook a turkey breast dinner tonight to celebrate and I’m going to try my hand at pumpkin pie. I bought all the ingredients, got home, and realised I don’t actually have a pie pan. So I guess I’ll make it in a springform pan and hope for the best. It shouldn’t matter that it’s not in a pie pan, right?

If you want to leave a link, Manic Monday is still open! If you want to shop for awesome fabric deals, try one of the shops on the right sidebar – I don’t get sponsored by just anyone, I choose the very best fabric shops out there. They rock.

I’m really proud of the gals who participated in my Table Runner/Wall Hanging Swap – some of the creations are astonishing and everyone who made something should be very proud of themselves, as there are no ugly pictures in there. Here are some highlights:

I want to thank all those who participated. You guys make it all worthwhile! (***sniff, sniff***) Ok, I’m off to make a disaster in the kitchen. I’ll post pics 🙂

  1. Jenna, I don’t think the springform pan in lieu of a pie plate will be a problem at all. I don’t have one so I can’t measure the sizing – the only thing I can think of is that the cooking time might be a bit different. Just make sure your center gets set and you’ll be golden!

Gorgeous table runners! A very talented bunch!

  2. Good luck with the pie, me and spring form pans don’t get on very well, apparently you need to line them or cake mixture oozzzes out the bottom whilst baking, who knew!!

The table runners are lovely, one day I will get round to something like this!

  3. Can’t wait to see pictures of your pie! I doubt it will make any difference, other than cooking time. The runners turned out so beautifully! I really hope next time you do this I can participate. Have a wonderful dinner with your family 🙂

  4. 🙂 lol, I one have 1 pie tin anymore (the rest have been broken just this past year!) so I made a double pumpkin pie in my 13×9 cake pan…and that leaves the other pie tin for my apple pie. Enjoy!
