Here is my Monthly Make for March:
It’s a table runner and potholder set. I made it for my sister Serena, who’s just moved to Alaska with her USAF hubby John. I miss her so much!
I also entered this into Moda Bake Shop’s Contest. It’s basically impossible that I’ll win, but think of the bragging rights I’ll have if this makes it to the finals! Oh Yeah!
This is the back of the runner. The fabric is Fandango by Kate Spain
I machine all the embellishments using free motion techniques. What I was really surprised by: I’ve been doing free-motion and quilting only for a few months, but my skills have really advanced through all the practice. Maybe when I’m 65 I’ll be as good as Leah Day of the Free Motion Quilting Project.
