Well, it’s finally here. Your 13th birthday. I never imagined, holding you in my arms all those years ago, that I could be the mother of a teenage girl. And I’m so lucky – you are the best kid a mother could ever wish for.
You’re smart, funny, talented, affectionate, kind, generous and simply wonderful. I’m very proud to be your mum, and Mike is very proud to be your step-dad. We love you very much, and want every birthday to be as fabulous as this one. Stay true to yourself, and you’ll always be going in the right direction – and although I’m sure you know everything, we’re always here to help you when you need advice or assistance.
