And I found shoes! It wasn’t easy, but they’re not completely old lady shoes. I think. I went to Salisbury and tried Hotter, Clarks, an outdoor store, and Jones the Bootmaker. No luck. I knew there was a Russell & Bromley but their shoes are sooooo skinny I knew I’d never fit into them. However, when I walked by I saw some kids trainers and thought, Well, maybe I can get some boys trainers or school shoes. So I went in and told the lady what I needed and she directed me to the girls school shoes. I nearly fell over when she said they’d dealt with the orthotic issue before and it was just a case of finding the right size and width. So I ended up with a 5H, the widest they had. And they’ve got a 1″ heel, which is what Elizabeth said I needed. I’m so happy! I can wear them with skirts or leggings or jeans without looking too weird.

On to the features:

Taryn of Pixels to Patchwork made this lovely layer cake quilt which is backed with minky. Yum. And there’s even a link to the tutorial if you want to make one!

Fiona of Poppy Makes designed this quilt for her month of do. Good Stitches. It is so lovely! She’s got links to tutorials too – I love that little girl block. That would make a great mini quilt for Savi…

Have a great weekend and I’ll see you Monday for another Manic Monday Linky Party! If you want a button for your blog, the html is on the right sidebar.

P.S. Because I write a non-Blogger blog, I am one of those unfortunates who will lose my Google Friend Connect widget soon. I really value you as a reader and follower, and I’d like to ask you to consider following me on BlogLovin’, a free service built specifically for people to follow their favourite blogs, or by Feedburner, which is an RSS feed. Thanks!! 🙂

Yay, glad you found some shoes that worked for you! I wear the Clarks Un-Structured Mary Janes at work all the time and I have them in patent red, patent burgundy, patent teal and boring old black, so much more fun than the boring court shoes and loafers I always remember my mum wearing
Glad you found some shoes! I hope they help. 🙂
Good shoes are necessary to a happy life! I have really horrible feet so I wear sensible shoes. If I do not, they let me know!!!!
Yay, for new shoes! I hope they are good to your feet. If not you can call the shoe store and complain, because it will clearly be their fault. LOL
Good shoes are hard to find when you have feet problems – I’m glad you were able to find a pair – if they work I would recommend buying a back up pair just in case you can’t find another later. I have definitely done that! I hope you have a fabulous weekend!
Thanks again Jenna! Glad you found some shoes!
