Hey, did you notice I didn’t post yesterday? It was a bit crazy around here – after 5 years of (mostly good natured) nagging I finally got DH to the nurse for a full check-up w’ blood work. I’ve been periodically FREAKING OUT that there might be a beginning sign of something bad (think high cholesterol) and I’m not feeding him correctly, shoving more vitamins down his throat, that kind of thing. I don’t know why I’m worried – I go to the doctor WAY more than he does – he hasn’t been in like 6 years! (Whereas I went after Xmas – remember the toe?). Anyway, looks like everything is ok.
I also went to a drumming group last night. If you’ve never been to one and there’s one locally, you HAVE to try it! It was SO cool! Even if it did feel a bit like high school band. The way you can contribute to a whole beautiful, enchanting beat with just your drum is incredible! We just watched a documentary on George Harrison, and throughout his life, he loved chanting with Hare Krishnas, and I find myself thinking a lot about it. I started to understand it more fully last night – you connect with yourself when you’re part of something that sounds beautiful and pure, but kinda also with others and the world too. So try it!
Ahem. Sorry. I’ve gone on a bit. You probably don’t really want to know all that, huh? Anyway, here are the linky party features:

By far the link that got the most traffic was this quilt top tutorial by Loblolly Quilts. Melissa has named this Snake Charmer which Β is a very apt name – it’s easy, quick and very charming!

And my bee mate and pal Sarah at FairyFace Designs finished this lovely square-in-a-square baby quilt – look at all that red, aqua and pink! I really want to make one right now!
Becky at Creatively Content made these cute gingerbread cookies that sit on the edge of a mug. Adorable! She’s got a how-to and some tips if you want to make some yourself.Β
And I’d love it if you went to check out the Sew. Happy. Quilt. QAL pics – the ladies are doing a fabulous job over there!

P.S. Because I write a non-Blogger blog, I am one of those unfortunates who will lose my Google Friend Connect widget soon. I really value you as a reader and follower, and I’d like to ask you to consider following me on BlogLovin’, a free service built specifically for people to follow their favourite blogs, or by Feedburner, which is an RSS feed. Thanks!! π

Thanks for the feature!!! I love participating your linky party when I have new things to share!
Hmm, a drumming class sounds like it might be rather therapeutic, in a ‘prevents you from bettering someone’ sort of a way lol
Jenna, Super fun. Thanks for featuring our little ‘gingerbread hearts on a rim’. π I love seeing your blog grow and all the amazing tutorials and mug rugs etc. Thanks for having such a colorful and helpful blog. Happy new year. π
Drumming group sounds like so much fun! Glad you had a good time π The snake quilt is gorgeous – I’m going to have to show it to my mom – she has been wanting to make one for my nephew!
Drumming is my first love! I have frame drums and Djembe’s unfortunately we don’t have a drumming group near me so I head down to the beach and scare the seagull’s instead π Is yours a musical group or do you guys drum for spiritual reasons?
I also love the cup cookies may have to give them a go!
Those cookies look great… might have to make some of those for my daughter`s birthday…
Thanks so much for featuring me Jenna! I was very sad to give that quilt away, think I need to make another in that colour scheme for myself!
