Table Runner Swap – Look What I Sent Out Today!

So, the SewHappyGeek Table Runner/Wall Hanging Swap. It’s almost *sniff, sniff* over now!

And I sent out my table runner today! Here she is:

My partner likes red and HSTs. I was REALLY afraid this was the wrong red after I’d pieced the top together. I was really worried, but she left a comment saying she liked it! Yay!

I did a simple diagonal quilting pattern all over it, 1/4″ away from the lines on either side. I was scrupulous about trimming, so all my points matched up! So gratifying!

Note: I freely admit this isn't a representative photo of all 4 corners 😉

This was the first time I attached the binding on to the back and machined it on to the front, too. I think I did ok.

This is the back, using matching yardage to the charm pack used for the front’s HSTs and border.

I do love my labels. If you are curious about them, here’s a post about how I designed them and had Spoonflower make them.

I sent her a mug rug too. I hope she likes it!

You guys know I’m obsessed with birds, right?

So anyway, I sent some chocolate too, just because I can. I forgot to wrap it though. Hopefully she won’t be too disappointed!

  1. love your table runner and cute mug rug too – I have just checked out your link on how to organise labels via Spoonflower – thanks for the tip – I will be getting onto it soon.

  2. I am so glad you showed us your label! I clicked back to your July link and read through your post and will be checking out Julie Herman’s posts about how to design a Spoonflower label. Lovely table runner – a very lucky recipient will undoubtedly be very happy. Just for curiosity – what kind of chocolate do you send?
