A while ago, Jody of Fabric Shoppe sent me this Tanya Whelan FQ Bundle to have a bit of a play. I designed and re-designed and finally came up with a design I fell in love with. I added in 1/2 yd/metre of Kona Red, and about 1/2yd/metre of a white on white print I had hanging around. Thank you Jody!! You rock! (Seriously, she’s got some FANTASTIC bundles. Bundles are my favourite way to shop for quilt fabric.)
I’ve cut all the pieces, and sewn the HSTs. The bad news is that it’s almost entirely HSTs – I think there are 100 total in the whole quilt. The good news is that it’s super cool, and bright and happy. So I’ll be trimming these little babies down this afternoon before getting to the ‘true’ piecing. (I say this afternoon because I have to take Savi shopping in Southampton. I’m tempted to have her ride the bus home so I can get home before 4:30pm and work on this quilt. Otherwise I’ll either be sitting around waiting for her to finish hanging out w/ her friends, OR more likely, I’ll just keep spending and spending and Mr. doesn’t like that very much. I wonder why?)
At least the sun is out though! Yay! See you guys tomorrow!
